Everybody Loves a Wedding

(Apologies to all those who came searching for this post earlier blogger were doing maintenance and removed it and access to post temporarily!)

So it appears we have neglected our little blog. We do have a few things to share so what better time than a cold (rather FREEZING) and rainy Tasmanian day for inspiration. I may also have an assignment due, so of course my procrastination may as well be put to good use.

The world is recovering from wedding fever. Of course who could go past the spectacle that was the Royal Wedding. Future brides everywhere were looking on with particular interest hoping to be able to encapsulate a little royal magic on their own big day. Apparently I may have been paying a little too much attention according to one furry family member who could not understand my distraction.

Another family member however, assumed I wasn’t giving devoting quite enough concentration to the Royal wedding. At exactly the moment Kate Middleton stepped out in THAT dress my phone rang and My Mother screeched at me to inspect it! Oh boy mum. Heard of Bridezillas? Pretty sure My Mum may be in training to be Mummy-zilla. Bril – (Cameron has asked not to comment on this one!).

My own Mothers obsession with our yet-to-be- shared wedding plans can only be matched by Cameron’s Mothers. She isn’t so interested with the event itself, but rather what she assumes is natural progression after. On a visit last weekend, she proudly presented me with a half finished crotchet baby rug, crotchet needles and the family copy of Woman’s Weekly - Knitting for Tiny Tots. She kindly suggested it could be something to do during my next hospital stay. I’m thinking keeping my mind occupied wasn’t her only intention! What can I say? I guess everyone gets excited about a wedding. Royal or not

In other news we had some engagement photos taken (photos above not included!). While we haven’t got all of them yet you can take a peek on the face-book page of Vitality Photographics. This is a gorgeous new Tassie business and Astrid (the photographer) is amazingly talented! Cameron and I hardly have any good photos together so this was something really special. Photos are so very precious don’t you think? And these ones really do reflect a special time in our lives. We chose to have them taken in the beautiful Joseph Chromy Vineyard, which had the most stunning autumn colours at the time. The vineyard is special to both of us because it is close to my parents home and while is huge now, was established not long after Cameron and I started dating. Watching it change through the seasons and over time has been something really beautiful.

While we still haven’t got anything to share as far as wedding plans go just yet. I can tell you they are happening. We really want to have some plans in place before we share so what we create is truly about us and our love for the many special people in our lives!

Love Love Love
Jess and Cam xx
