Wedding Week!

Tonight I stood outside painting wedding decorations in the fading Tasmanian daylight. I could hear the Cameron and my little brother proudly working away ona project of their own, while music notes wafted from my sisters open window- the same tune over and over in preparation for the big day. It was a nice change from homework or the isolation of laptops and iPads. My dad and step-mum pottered around organising this and that and lending a hand to all of us. A quiet and very satisfying moment in what is the mind-frying craziness of wedding week.

It hasn't been an easy time of late and life has thrown us what sometimes seems like more than our fair share of speed bumps, but, we have almost made it and one day they will be just part of the story. Consequently it has been a bit quiet in these parts. I will still endevour in time to share some of experiences and lessons from planning the most important day of our lives with you - they will just have a retrospective view! We have been so lucky to be surrounded by generous and talented people on our team of wedding providers and I really want to show off their final creations. With their help we are excited to be getting close to our target of $5000 for HIAM Health!

Before I get back to the wedding production line (and yes it is 10.37 pm) I want to share one last thing. Cameron and I are STOKED to be able to confirm that one of our favourite Queensland bands, The Lamplights, will be playing at our reception! These guys are super talented and have the most captivating passion for what they do. It is definitely worth heading over to Triple j Unearthed and downloading and scoring yourself a few free tracks - trust me your next stop will be iTunes to buy the Album!
