It was raining this afternoon, and a little gloomy as we navigated our way across the road through the mayhem that is Friday afternoon traffic. The tradies heading home, mums who have just picked up kids, the white collar workers who got out early to head to the coast to enjoy their weekend. The road was hectic.
Jess' hands were full and the remote locking wasn't working and the passenger door wouldn't open. Strategically placing my items on the roof of the car I went around the other side to use the key in the door, then ran back around to open the door for her. Nothing. I did it again, and again and again. I took a breath and told myself it wasn't getting the best of me! I get in he car and press the unlock button and run back around. Still nothing, just some slowly brewing frustration. I tried opening it from inside, Still nothing. Hmmmph!?!? scratching my head as if I did it long enough i would sow the seed that would sprout the resolution.
In fact the resolution came in his little SUV and some jumper cables to boost the flat battery. This was a relief as it was going to be at least another 2 hour wait for traffic to calm enough to attempt a run start, or a costly call to the roadside assit car ambulance. Lucky to have well equipped and practical friends it was only a short while until we were ready to be on our way.
Even with our little mishaps a day can be brightened by the little things, a friend helping out or even a beautiful rainbow in the sky. This picture was taken just before the rain that made our flat battery less amusing, began to fall.
