This isn't what the average person walks away from their local coffee shop with however our good friends up at Crank House Cyclery not only do an awesome caffeine hit they also have a great vegge garden out the back! This week hasn't been our finest and I was admitted to hospital yesterday... AGAIN. This will be my longest stint of IV antibiotics to date and I would be lying if I was to say it hasn't been the toughest.
To help with both the mind and body Cam made an extra special effort with dinner tonight. It wasn't your average Saturday night date but let's be honest, it rarely is with us! As you may have noticed (heh!) we both love our food but that doesn't mean I take for granted the efforts Cam makes in the kitchen. I am deeply appreciative of the way Cam strives to put nourishing food on our plates every day - even on the days it would be easier to walk the 50 metres to our local fish and chip shop! Tonights menu included the fresh celery modeled above served with homemade beetroot dip, quinoa salad with home grown kale and Crank House greens, coconut curry with brown rice and chocolate chia pudding! The best ingrediant of all though was the love that went into it all!

Oh Jess I'm sorry I don't comment often. I'm sorry to hear that you are having one of your hardest runs to date with everything. But you clearly have an incredible man by your side. I wish love, light and laughter through it all. X
ReplyDeleteThere is no need to be sorry lovely Trudie. It is just nice to know you pop past now and again. I am blessed to have meet some of the 'real' bloggers out there like yourself and enjoy sitting back and watching and learning from you all. It looks like exciting things are happening for you (on lots of levels!) and I look forward seeing what is to come!
