Reminiscing The Things We Would Rather Not Know.

Today was fairly uneventful. In a good way. Unfortunately I didn't get discharged from Club Med but there are worse things in life - like getting discharged too early and landing right back in here! I managed to escaped for a bit to get some 'naughty' take-away. Guzman y Gomez is our fave dirty take-away. Not only is it relatively healthy but we like to reminisce about our Mexican adventures many moons ago.

There was this taco stand we went to nearly every day for four weeks. It was very close to the place we were staying and after we didn't get sick the first time we figured it was safe enough. I would order the same thing everyday - tacos with what I thought was a slowed cooked beef sauce. It was devine, one of the best things I have ever tasted. On our last day, I plucked up the courage to ask if they would share the recipe. My thinking was I could attempt to cook it once home. To my surprise, they were more than happy to share! It was very easy - it was indeed slow-cooked beef. Stewed in beef eyeballs. Ummm yeah. Yum. I am yet to try this one at home. Sometimes it is best not to know.
